Sicily + James | NOLA Fogo De Chao Wedding

Weddings

July 11, 2021

I (T-kia) met Sicily in the 4th grade, when our parents began to work together. We eventually moved down the street from one another and spent the next 8 years running the streets of our hometown together. So of course we offered to travel to New Orleans to photograph her big day. Sicily and James planned a beautiful ceremony at Fogo De Chao, immediately followed by a FABULOUS seated reception on the upper floor. SIDE NOTE: I have NEVER had so many different types of good meat! And the grilled cheese and honey….chefs kiss!

Though the couple opted for a smaller ceremony, there was no lack of attention to details. The bride wore a custom gown from Phuong’s Tailor and Fabrics. The decor was inspired by a peacock theme, with teal and purple accents showing up in places like the sole of her shoes and bouquet. The couple had gift bags for all out of town guests, including local NOLA foods and custom peacock handkerchiefs to be used during the couple’s Second Line. The DJ kept the dance floor going until it was time to see the couple off . It was a wonderful day and we were blessed to be a part of it.

Fun fact: Sicily and James met at a 7-11 store in college in Virginia. In order to ensure he would NEVER forget their anniversary, the couple were married on 7.11.21!
