Dominique + Andre | Lace House at Arsenal Hill Wedding

Dominique and Andre were introduced to each other through their good friend while they were in college. Andre attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC while she attended Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. They instantly connected, sharing so much in common like Black love, spirituality, education, community, and their love of music and Italian culture!

Andre proposed at a popular Italian restaurant in Spartanburg (where they often frequented) with their close friends present. Andre pretended that he left his wallet in the car and while Dominique was waiting, his best friend Chris, came into the restaurant singing “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar. She was gifted with red roses (her favorite flowers) as Andre proposed. Is that not the best story to tell you children in 15 years?!

The wedding day weather in Columbia was absolutely beautiful. We offer Charlotte Wedding Photography but were so excited to find ourselves over the border into South Carolina. Due to Covid, the couple made the decision to reduce the guest list to only the bridal party and their spouses. The couple chose to do a first look and it was such a intimate time to spend together, just loving and praying. The ceremony was livestreamed for all that could not attend. The couple also chose to have a commemorative candle lighting for their loved ones who had passed on. It was such a sweet moment to share before being announced husband and wife.

The ceremony was followed by a reception on the outdoor patio. Beautiful white and burgundy roses adorned a single long table with candles and greenery down the center. The bridal party blessed the couple with toasts and a sweetheart serenade by the brides sorority sister. After cake cutting and dancing, the newlyweds exited in a cloud of bubbles.
